The Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) exhibition began in 1983 as a modest event held in a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, featuring just over a hundred exhibitors and a few hundred visitors. Over the years, it grew into one of the most prestigious and influential jewellery trade shows globally, attracting thousands of exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors from over 140 countries. Organized by Informa Markets, JGW is renowned for its dual-venue format, with AsiaWorld-Expo focusing on raw materials like diamonds and gemstones, and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre showcasing finished jewellery and related technologies.
